Explore the ENTIRE Baja Penninsula on two special Rocio Del Mar departures just announced

(DiverWire) Officials with the popular Rocio Del Mar live-aboard vessel today announced a BRAND NEW 13-day adventure itinerary exploring the entire 800-mile Baja Penninsula. The EXPLORE BAJA OPTION is easily the most impressive adventure offered by Rocio Del Mar. This exclusive itinerary, which is typically sold out years in advance, has become so popular that Rocio Del Mar management have added two more departures in 2014 to accommodate the demand.

According to Dora Sandoval, owner of the Rocio Del Mar, “The Explore Baja option is unlike anything else. We dive the entire length of Baja, starting either in the North at Rocky Point and traveling south OR starting in Los Cabos and heading north. Divers can choose where they would like to start and end their adventure.”

The diversity, Sandoval explains, is what makes this itinerary so special. “In the North, there are plenty of nudibranch, macro photo opportunities and encounters with sperm whales and whale sharks. There’s even a large black coral forest that we explore.” She enthusiastically continues, “As we head South, everything changes. The waters become more tropical and colorful. In a way, everyone is ‘migrating’ with the sealife.”

All of this occurs over a span of 13 days, as the vessel travels close to 800 miles. Divers can experience different environments on the same trip. “People who come off this itinerary often sign up for the next available departure right away – it’s THAT popular,” Sandoval points out.

With all of the previously announced Explore Baja departures sold out through 2016, TWO new ones have just been made available. September 27-October 9, 2014 departs from Rocky Point and heads SOUTH. Then, on October 11 through the 23rd, the vessel heads NORTH from Cabo San Lucas.

The duration of the trip and long distances covered provide a unique opportunity for dive travelers to not only experience up to four dives each day, but many non-diving activities including hiking, kayaking and exploring are available. Previous passengers have discovered quaint towns, ancient hieroglyphics and mangroves. The trip is a perfect combination of diving and big animal encounters along with a variety of cultural experiences that will last a lifetime.

Sandoval explained that each trip has a capacity of 20 divers. The overwhelming popularity of this itinerary means these spaces won’t last long. For more information and booking details, click here: Rocio Del Mar Baja Option
