Rocio Del Mar Liveaboard to Relocate to Socorro Islands for Winter

Following a highly-successful season in the Sea of Cortez, the Rocio del Mar live-aboard group has announced that the vessel will be relocating to the Socorro Islands in late December. This move is designed to allow scuba divers to experience the incredible underwater sights of Socorro from one of the most modern and impressive live-aboard vessels in the region.

The new itinerary was announced during last week’s Northwest Dive and Travel Show in Tacoma, Washington. According to Dora Sandoval, one of the owners of the Rocio del Mar, “the time is right for us to relocate the vessel for the Winter season. We’ve received strong response to this announcement and are already receiving bookings for early 2011.”

Sandoval said the new itinerary and trip schedule is posted on the vessel’s website at 2011 Socorro Islands Trips She said that the vessel would be returning to the Sea of Cortez in May, 2011 and that there would be an annual rotation between the two locations.

The Rocio del Mar has received rave reviews throughout the dive industry since being launched last year. The well-known dive magazine Undercurrent recently posted a review that can be found at Undercurrent Review
