DURHAM, NC – In the waning months of 2008, DAN issued an offer to all would-be DAN Instructors: Become a DAN Instructor by June 30, 2009, and waive the Instructor application fee.

Only about six weeks remain to take advantage of this offer.  Requiring only approximately 16 total hours of training, completion of a DAN Instructor Qualification Course will leave you certified to teach six of DAN’s most popular Training programs, including Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries, and Diving Emergency Management Provider (DEMP).

“It’s a fantastic time to be a DAN Instructor,” says DAN Director of Training Eric Douglas. “We’ve got some exciting new courses available, and old favorites continue to produce for everyone who teaches them.  The possibilities DAN Training programs offer either as stand-alone training or as added value are endless.  If you’ve ever thought about becoming a DAN Instructor, now’s the time to do it, especially since summer is just around the corner!”

To become a DAN Instructor, you must:

·          Be a divemaster or higher,

·          Be a current CPR instructor

·          Complete a DAN Instructor Qualification Course.

That’s it.  When you’re done, you’ll be able to add value to your diving classes, generate year-round training revenue, and demonstrate the importance of safety to your students.  Of course, you’ll be better prepared to offer assistance in an emergency, as well.

When you complete your DAN Instructor training, submit your application. Include a copy of this article, and DAN will waive the $25 application fee.

Visit the DAN directories to find a dive center or DAN Instructor Trainer near you.  If you can’t find one, call the DAN Training department at (919) 684-2948 and we’ll find you the training you need.

Become a DAN Instructor today – we can’t wait to welcome you aboard!
