Oceanic Teams with DiveNav to Introduce OC1 Computer Via High-tech Simulator
Very soon, Oceanic Worldwide will be unveiling its latest dive computer the OC1. This highly innovative and unique computer incorporates many of the features divers have been asking about for years. To help get divers more familiar with this new product, Oceanic has teamed up with DiveNav to create a “virtual dive simulator” that lets divers try the OC1 without even getting their feet wet.
A video demostrating the OC1 may be seen now at www.OceanicWorldwide.com
“The OC1 is truly an innovative product”, said Alberto Mantovani, President and CEO of DiveNav, “and we are honored to have collaborated with Oceanic, one of the most innovative companies in the scuba industry, to add their latest product to our eDiving® scuba diving simulator”, he concluded.
The OC1 is an advanced all-in-one dive computer featuring Oceanic’s exlclusive Dual Algorithm, wireless air-integration, digital compass, remote Buddy Pressure Check, and so much more. All in a strong, lightweight titanium housing.
“We were quite impressed by the capabilities and the realism of the eDiving® scuba diving simulator”, said Doug Krause of Oceanic Worldwide. “We plan to use it extensively to introduce the OC1 to our dealers and customers”, he concluded.
eDiving®, developed by DiveNav, is a scuba diving simulator that allows scuba divers, snorkelers and marine enthusiasts to virtually explore real underwater locations. DiveNav released at the Scuba Show 2009 last weekend, a new version of eDiving that includes features such as diver animation, deco planning and simulation of a rebreather.
