(DiverWire) – The SCUBA Show, an annual event that organizers promote as the largest consumer dive expo in the United States, will take place this weekend, June 4th and 5th at the Long Beach Convention Center. 
Close to 300 exhibitors will be set up representing everything from travel destinations and equipment companies to local dive stores and clothing companies.
“I’m looking forward to meeting some of the most active divers in the country this weekend,” said Dale Sheckler, producer of the Show. He adds that more than 12,000 attendees are anticipated for the two-day event.
In its 24th year, the SCUBA Show brings together a number of local and international scuba diving celebrities. This year, the Show will feature world-famous marine artist Wyland, photographers Stan Waterman and Marty Snyderman along with representatives from all the major equipment and travel companies.
Sheckler said that Wyland would be creating a custom painting on the Show floor during the weekend. Local children will be invited to help in the creation – one of the more popular sights each year at the event.
