(DiverWire) – Captain Don’s Habitat, a popular scuba diver’s resort on the island of Bonaire, has announced the addition of a new dive vessel – the “Lucky Lobster”.
The new vessel is a 48-ft New England Lobster style vessel that will supplement the existing Habitat dive boats. According to Habitat General Manager Jack Chalk, “We’re excited about adding this new vessel for our guests. She has two air conditioned berth compartments, marine head, wheel house with microwave and refrigerator.” He adds that the “LL” will be used to offer new and exciting activities to our lineup including, but not limited to Sunset Cruises, Romantic Dinner Cruises, Party Cruises, Dive and Snorkel Trips all over the island as well as to Klein Curacao, fishing charters, special Lionfish Hunting trips and many more.
The “LL” will also be used as a reserve dive vessel. With a very large covered aft deck area, the “LL” offers plenty of space for up to 20 divers (with cameras as a custom camera table is being built and will be installed as well) to gear up and not bump into each other.
The “Lucky Lobster” will commence preliminary services on July 1st, 2011. Chalk says this is just in time for the annual evening cruises guests sign up for in order to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the best seat in the house – on the water.
