World-famous underwater photographers will make presentations at the Bay Area Dive Show Friday Night Film Festival.
The Bay Area Dive show is April 30 and May 1, 2010 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Show hours are Friday from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M and Saturday 9A.M. to 5 P.M.
“We welcome our scuba industry friends and the local diving community to the Bay Area Dive Show. This is a great opportunity for divers to socialize and learn about the best possible diving destinations” says Jenny Collister, owner of Reef & Rainforest. Reef & Rainforest is a show sponsor and a locally owned exotic dive travel agency.
Four different photographers will be featured at the film festival. Jason Bradley’s talk is titled “West Coast Above & Below Ocean Images.” Clay Wiseman will show us “Red High Definition Footage from Indonesia.” Ethan Gordan will regale diving stories and photos from 15 years on assignment as a freelance journalist. Eric Cheng will showcase Flashlight Fish and Sperm Whales.
Berkley White, a well known photographer himself, has organized the film festival this year. “We aim to not only entertain divers, but also to educate and inspire. Guests will see some amazing underwater images and have a place to hang out and have cocktails after the show,” says White. The show starts at 7:45.
