(DiverWire) Divi Resorts announces the hiring of Hetty van den Ouweelen as general manager of Divi Flamingo Beach Resort and Casino in Bonaire. Van den Ouweelen, whose background includes more than 30 years of experience in international hospitality management and staff development, will head all aspects of Divi Flamingo operations including dive and marketing activities, supplier relationships and guest services.

During the past three decades, Van den Ouweelen has lead guest, housekeeping, rooms, marketing, human resources and food and beverage hospitality services in over a dozen countries. Her diverse range of Dutch Antilles management and international hotel experience will impact resort guest, associate and owner satisfaction. Van den Ouweelen’s career preparation began as an undergraduate at Holland’s hospitality school at The Hague where she earned her bachelor’s degree.
