(DiverWire) Sunset House Grand Cayman, one of the most well-known dive resorts in the Caribbean, has invested over US$250,000 into their Oceanview, Suites and Apartments with a complete upgrade and added amenities taking their rooms to a whole new level of service.
“We renovated all of these rooms with new bathrooms, including fixtures, travertine tile, vinyl covered concrete ceiling tiles with recessed lights and hair dryers and putting programmable safes, ironing boards and irons, microwaves, larger refrigerators to replace the existing fridges, along with the coffee makers in the spacious rooms” states Ken Thompson, hotel manager for the resort. The rooms also got HD flat screen TV’s (34″ for Oceanview and Apartments; 42″ for Suites), along with business desks with plenty of outlets and new soft goods.
One of the key updates for the Wi-Fi system was the purchase of LTX Series Antennafier™ Outdoor Wi-Fi Amplifiers to boost the Wi-Fi signals throughout the spacious 4.5 acre property.
With these updates and the free Wi-Fi service, these rooms have become a huge hit, especially with the ladies! “We thought the rooms were clean, spacious and perfect for divers as they were, but this renovation really caught us by surprise on how far the owners and management took the renovation!” stated a long time female Sunset House guest. “Very eloquent”.
“One thing that is really a great value for 2012, is even though we made these huge renovations, we kept the prices the same in these classes of rooms as 2011, remarks Keith Sahm, Director of Marketing for the famed dive resort. “These are the exact rooms that are featured in the DEMA Special we offered in Orlando a few weeks ago.” We also like to remind folks that while not featured, the smaller Courtyard room class is also on sale for group travel. These rooms were also the beneficiary of the smaller refrigerators from the oceanview rooms.
“One thing we have noticed, too, the oceanview rooms are now the buzz with the Grand Cayman business traveler!” Only one mile from the heart of George Town, a great bar and restaurant and a great view of the Caribbean, corporate travelers will find this an easy and affordable solution to their stay in Grand Cayman
