(DiverWire) Sea Experience in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida is presenting the first Richard Hartley Memorial Scholarship later this Spring to honor the well-known PADI Course Director and Training Director who passed away unexpectedly last November.
According to Bill Cole of Sea Experience, “We all called Richard ‘the Commander’ and we miss him greatly. We have established a memorial scholarship in his memory that will be given to an individual seeking to become a scuba diving professional.”
Hartley and Cole had been working together over the last 18 months as Sea Experience has expanded and increased its role in dive professional development and Instructor Training.
Cole said qualifications for the scholarship, which is a complete Phase II Sea Experience Instructor Program, are posted on Sea Experience website.
