WEEKI WACHEE, FL- The much anticipated 2010 Weeki Wachee Springs Mermaid calendar is scheduled to be released Saturday, September 5th. The release of the calendars at Weeki Wachee Springs will include an autograph session by the mermaids themselves along with photographer Andrew Brusso.
The mermaids, along with Brusso, will be at the main entrance of the park from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m..
This is only the second calendar issued in the world famous attraction’s 63 year history. Last year’s inaugural limited edition calendar sold out within weeks. Famed celebrity photographer Andrew Brusso, photographed last years calendar and was commissioned again to photograph the 2010 mermaid calendar.
A Florida native, Brusso volunteered his expertise after hearing about Weeki Wachee’s “Save Our Tails” campaign. Brusso, who now lives in New York, shot and designed the 2009/2010 calendar featuring the mermaids who perform at the attraction.

One of the most sought out celebrity photographers, Brusso has photographed Jack Black, Ellen Degeneres, Jim Carrey, Jerry Seinfeld, Will Smith, Roger Clemons, LeBron James, Howard Stern and Dolly Parton among others. His work has been featured in Rolling Stone, People, Time and Sports Illustrated and on the covers of Newsweek, Entertainment Weekly and Fortune.
Brusso has also photographed ad campaigns for MTV, HBO, Showtime and he recently completed a promotional photo shoot with the stars from the highly successful film “The Hangover” for Rolling Stone Magazine.
