Tourism Corporation Bonaire is pleased to announce the island will once again offer visiting tourists an extended summer program known as “Bonaire Dive Into Summer” from June 1 through September 30, 2010. The program will feature a variety of activities for divers, snorkelers, and adventurers, and even a chance to win a trip to Bonaire.
There will be specially priced packages for various events and happenings, themed dives and one-of-a-kind events, showcasing Bonaire’s commitment to sustainable tourism practices and marine conservation programs.
In this year’s Bonaire Dive Into Summer program, new events have been added to create a jam-packed four-month-long celebration of diving on Bonaire. There is a great diversity in the activities that are scheduled, with local markets and food fairs, art, music, and cultural activities, as well as photo contests and nature events when visitors can pitch in and make a difference.
“We’re very happy to once again present this popular celebration for the fourth consecutive year. With an event covering four months, many of Bonaire’s summer visitors have the opportunity to enjoy an assortment of activities which are not available at other times of the year,” said Ronella Tjin Asjoe-Croes, Director of Tourism. “Bonaire Dive Into Summer highlights the importance of diving to Bonaire’s visitors, while providing them a taste of the island’s other attractions, i.e. windsurfing, biking, dining, culture, art and music, which ultimately enhances their summer vacation experience in Bonaire,” she concluded.
