New Live-Aboard being built for expeditions to Palau

(DiverWire) – The live-aboard universe is about to get bigger. Worldwide Dive and Sail and Sam’s Tours Palau have announced the start of development for the S/Y Palau Siren live-aboard vessel. Set to set sail in November 2012, the S/Y Palau Siren is currently under construction in Sulawesi, Indonesia. With the build overseen by Worldwide Dive and Sail owner and diving enthusiast Frank Van Der Linde, the new vessel is targeted to service the Palau region.

Like her sister vessels in the Philippines and Indonesia, the S/Y Palau Siren will be 40m in length built of ironwood and teak in the traditional Phinisi style. She will host up to 16 guests in 8 spacious, en-suite and air conditioned cabins. Every thought for the modern diver will be taken into account; with a large dive deck, individual set up and storage areas, indoor and outdoor camera stations with more storage for your additional equipment & computers in every cabin for photo editing. As with all of our vessels you can be sure the crew will look after your every need.

Beginning November 2012, the S/Y Palau Siren will offer guests 7 and 10 night luxury safaris around the islands of Palau.  Unique combo trips will also be offered in conjunction with her sister vessel, the S/Y Philippine Siren, giving guests the rare opportunity to visit two amazing and distinctive destinations.  Guests may also opt to combine their liveaboard safari with a resort stay and land based excursions organized by Sam’s Tours, Palau’s premier dive centre and eco-adventure tour company.  All 7 and 10 day trips will depart from and return to Koror.
