(DiverWire) – Underwater photographers take note: the second annual Cozumel Photo Shootout has just been announced. This year’s event will be November 15-20, 2011 in Cozumel, Mexico.
According to Anne-Louise Tuke, who helped to put together the event for Caradonna Worldwide Dive Adventures, “New technology has made underwater photography very accessible. The quality of images that underwater photographers can take with their digital cameras is incredible. It’s going to be exciting seeing all the images divers will take during this week in Cozumel.”
The event will include contests for a variety of different categories including topside photography, as well as photo seminars, presentations and plenty of opportunities for participants to explore the wonders of Cozumel both above and below the waterline. Over $15,000 in prizes will be awarded to winners.
On hand to judge and assist competitors with their photography skills will be renowned underwater and topside photographers Michele Westmorland (www.westmorlandimages.com) and Ty Sawyer (www.tysawyer.com).
