SSI introduces new Instructor Training Course at DiVentures Facility in Omaha

(DiverWire) Scuba Schools International (SSI) has just completed the latest comprehensive Instructor Trainer and Instructor Certifier update in preparation for teaching the new Instructor Training Course.
This past weekend, SSI Instructor Trainers and Instructor Certifiers gathered in Omaha, NE at DiVentures to learn about the completely re-designed and re-developed ITC Program. This is the fifth in a series of 8 Instructor Trainer and Instructor Certifier updates held regionally around the USA. SSI is working with their Trainers and Certifiers to be sure everyone has the newest ITC materials and that each Trainer attends this Workshop and their Water Skills Evaluation.
After the widely accepted NEW Dive Professional Pathway was debuted in 2011, it only made sense to launch the NEW ITC. The SSI Dive Professional Pathway includes Dive Guide, Divemaster, Dive Control Specialist and Training Specialist. Each step readies a Dive Professional for their next level of training. “The IT Update has been a great team building experience for all. It solidifies that each IT and IC has the tools necessary to train the World’s Top Dive Professionals’ says Eric Peterson, National Sales Manager of SSI USA.
The SSI ITC brings new information from the Internationally taught and widely recognized Scuba University. It introduces some of the concepts of Scuba U into the Instructors Course. Each SSI Instructor needs to be introduced to the Business Model and other key teaching concepts from Scuba U. Watch for Fall dates for Scuba University.
