(DiverWire) DAN’s Alert Diver magazine is now available on Android platforms. The quarterly magazine is accessible to even more scuba divers via digital download from Google Play.
“Ever since we released Alert Diver on the iPad, DAN Members have asked when the Android version would be ready,” said Stephen Frink, publisher of Alert Diver. “We are thrilled to be able to fulfill their request and offer Alert Diver for download on even more platforms, giving them a portable archive of our magazine to take with them on their travels.”
Released with the Spring 2012 issue, the Android-compatible digital version features all of the great content contained in the print pages along with bonus content and interactive elements.
The digital Alert Diver can be viewed on all Android platforms including tablets, phones and the Kindle Fire. The application is free to download, and the inaugural issue is available at no cost to anyone who wants to view it. Beginning with the Summer 2012 issue, DAN Members can continue to access Alert Diver for their Android devices at no cost, as the digital subscription is automatically included with DAN Membership. Nonmembers and those who live outside the DAN America territory will be able to purchase issues through the app.
“Alert Diver continues to evolve as readers ask for more ways to be able to access and interact with its content,” Frink said. “Alert Diver can now be read in print, online and on iOS and Android platforms. We are gratified our readers enjoy the magazine so much and we are proud to be able to offer it in so many forms.”
