Sand Dollar Condominium Resort and Bonaire Dive & Adventure announce the hosting of the Third Annual Fish ID Challenge July 31 – August 6 and August 7 – 13, 2010. Joining them again this year are Fish ID experts Patti & Scott Chandler of ReefNet, Inc. Well known for their work in marine life identification and documentation, the Chandlers have spent the last 20 years documenting fish species, behaviors and creatures for future study and identification.The Fish ID Challenge program is FREE to Sand Dollar guests and includes: multimedia Fish ID seminars, guided dives with the Chandlers and BD & A naturalist Jerry Ligon, a Bonaire specific, custom fish ID guidebook of the top 100 fish species found in our waters, introduction to REEF (Reef Environmental Education Foundation) surveying, prizes awarded for finding the “fish de jour” on each days “wanted” poster, video reviews highlighting unusual fish behavior and macro video. Participants can join in “ad hoc” on as many events and seminars as they like in accordance with their own personal preferences.
Seven night packages during the Challenge are $874.00 per person double occupancy including studio accommodation, 6 days unlimited tanks for shore diving, 6 one-tank boat dives, free Nitrox upgrades, rental truck and all applicable taxes. Packages for one, two and three bedroom condominiums are also available.
