Hollis has announced a new program in the United States and Canada that is designed to encourage positive word of mouth about scuba diving AND help stimulate sales in these challenging times. Developed in conjunction with key retailers across the country and several training agency, the ConEd Program begins this week and will continue through August 31, 2009.
According to David Burroughs, Hollis vice president of sales and marketing, “Our retailers asked us to help and we responded. Everyone is feeling the crunch right now and this program helps retailers on multiple levels. It is targeted to bring their existing customers back into their stores. The students’ signs up for any continuing education course with a recognized agency and can take up to $75.00 off a purchase of Hollis gear.”
Burroughs points out that this is a win-win; it gets the divers taking new course and encouraging diving, while also supporting the store in gear sells.
