(DiverWire) On Friday, October 12th, Dive Friends @ Sand Dollar opened its doors that morning for the first time to provide quality services to guests of the popular Sand Dollar Condominiums. That afternoon, Dive Friends Bonaire hosted a party to celebrate the grand opening. Dive Friends crew mingled with Sand Dollar owners and staff and admired the attractive, custom-built structure. In keeping with Dive Friends Bonaire’s commitment to environmental conservation, the building was constructed from a combination of wood and recycled plastic “lumber.”
This new Dive Friends branch is located next door to Sand Dollar’s reception building and includes a small retail store, gear storage lockers, gear rental, rinse tanks and a tank pick-up and drop-off area for air and nitrox.
Sand Dollar guests with Dive Friends tanks can easily dive Bari Reef – the Sand Dollar house reef – via a sandy entry area at the south end of the property. Sand Dollar guests diving with Dive Friends have the benefit of being able to participate in their first day orientation briefing at any time, at any location, during normal business hours. With Yellow Submarine, Hamlet Oasis, Port Bonaire and Dive Inn, Dive Friends Bonaire provides Sand Dollar guests with four additional dive locations to make their shore diving as easy as possible.
