Incredible Historic Resource offered by Women Divers Hall of Fame

This book chronicles women scuba diversThis year marks the 10th Anniversary of The Women Divers Hall of Fame (WDHOF), an international honor society that recognizes the achievements of outstanding women divers from around the world. To commemorate this milestone, the organization has produced a collectible book that should be a part of every diver’s library. It is also a wonderful gift for any young woman who loves the water.

This 116 page, 4 color book is filled with hundreds of member photos, bios and wonderful personal stories as well as the history of how this incredible organization came to be.

WDHOF, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, was founded in 2000. To date, 176 women are WDHOF Members. They come from 28 U.S. States, Territories, and 13 countries overseas. These women stand for what is best about women and the world of diving. They are pioneers, leaders, innovators and record holders in every field of diving: Arts, Science, Diving, Hyperbaric Medicine, Diving Safety, Dive Training, Education, Marine Archeology, Deep Sea Exploration, Equipment Technology, Design, Manufacturing, Military Diving, Free Diving, Commercial Diving, and Dive Media.  

Each year WDHOF awards scholarships and training grants offering financial and educational assistance to individuals of all ages, especially to those who are preparing for careers that include scuba diving. Since 2002, the WDHOF Scholarship Program has awarded over $100,000 to individuals in various fields of diving.
